North Toronto

Family Fun Fest at Downsview Park Boasting an impressive line-up of kiddy rides, jumping castles, inflatable slides, obstacle courses, arcade games, attractions, and carnival games, there is sure to be something for every family to enjoy at Downsview Park’s Family Fun Fest.

Family Day at Evergreen Brickworks Enjoy the many activities that Evergreen Brickworks has to offer this Family Day weekend. While Mom and Dad sit and sip local beers from Brewer’s Backyard, kids can skate and explore Children’s Garden’s activities for free.

Jumping Fun at Sky Zone If you’re in Leaside, head to Sky Zone trampoline park for some Family Day fun. They will be open all day, so jump in by reserving your time slot and booking your tickets online.

Family Day Weekend at Ontario Science Centre In the name of science, discover the ancient art of papermaking and uncover the world’s ultimate power at the Ontario Science Centre. Toronto’s interactive science mecca will be open all Family Day weekend — including Monday.

Family Skate Programs around North Toronto This Family Day, the City of Toronto has put together a calendar of Family Skate Program that will be on across various ice rinks around the city. Downtown Toronto

Family Day at Ontario Place All Family Day weekend, Ontario Place will be extending their holiday hours so families can visit the West Island, take in the beautiful Winter Light Exhibition, and enjoy activities and attractions along the way – like skating and bonfires.
Price: Admission is free, but rental prices and ticket prices may apply to some activities.
Time: Winter Light Exhibit is open daily from sunset until midnight; skating and bonfire are open from 10am - 4pm on February 18th

Family Winter Fun Day at Fort York & The Bentway Get your face painted, dress up in period costume, and kick up your heels with some Irish dancing at historic Fort York’s Family Day celebrations. On Monday, February 18th, Fort York is hosting a number of free activities for the whole family to enjoy, but don’t forget to bring your skates as well—The Bentway’s public skating trail will be open too.

Family Day at Harbourfront Centre Head down to the lake for a free skating lesson, rinkside dance breaks, music, and a fireside outdoor lounge at Lakeshore’s Harbourfront Centre. If you don’t have your own skates—not to fear, there will be affordable skate and helmet rentals on site for both kids and adults.

Collage Art at the AGO The Art Gallery of Ontario is hosting an all-day collage party this Family Day. Create art, make a puzzle, sing in the family karaoke lounge, and learn some new dance moves from the AGO’s house dance crew, FlowHER House Collective.
Price: Tickets are included in General Admission, which are free for children (age 5 & under), $11 for youth (age 6-17), and $19.50 for adults (age 18+). Save $10 off the purchase of a Family Pass by booking in advance.

VIP Kids Day at the Hockey Hall of Fame If your kids are crazy about hockey, then bring them down to the Hockey Hall of Fame this Family Day where they’ll get the VIP treatment. Each child will receive a free gift, get to play all day, and snap a photo with the Stanley Cup and Slapshot—the Hall of Fame’s mascot. After your visit, you can refuel with a free kids meal at The Bottom Line Restaurant, located next to the Hall of Fame’s Spirit of Hockey Store.

Free Community Skate at Mattamy Athletic Centre If you’ve all got your own skates, bring your family and friends for a free skate at the “Cathedral of Hockey.” Formerly Maple Leaf Gardens, the Mattamy Athletic Centre opens up the ice for skaters of all ages. Just keep in mind that skate rentals are not available—so it’s best to come prepared with your own equipment.

KidsFest at the International Centre There is something for every child under 12 at this massive three-day family fun show. You and your family can enjoy over 30 inflatable attractions (which range from large slides to toddler-appropriate rides), face painting, pony rides, petting zoos, carnival games and much more.

Family Day Music Class Family Day is the perfect time to enjoy some music and movement! Fitness By The Lake in Port Credit, Mississauga is putting on a music and movement class for parents and children aged 6 and under this Family Day. The Winter Stations at The Beaches Take in some art gazing by visiting the fifth annual edition of the Winter Stations International Design Competition at Woodbine Beach, which kicks off on Family Day. Six contemporary public art installations have been installed on the beach and celebrate this year’s theme, which is Migration. With a thermos of hot chocolate in one hand and your camera in another, take the family for a leisurely winter stroll down the beach for some quality family and culture time.

Family Skate with Local Officials Join The Beaches-East York’s MP, Nathaniel Erskine-Smith, at Ted Reeves Community Arena for a free family skate this Family Day. Enjoy skating, popcorn, coffee, and hot chocolate while you twirl around the ice and meet your neighbours. Just be advised that there are no skate rentals at the rink, so you’ll have to bring your own.

Family Day Weekend at the Toronto Zoo Sip on some warm hot cocoa while you meet the Toronto Zoo’s three newest family members: Charlie, the Western Iowland gorilla; Kiran, the greater one-horned rhino; and Penelope, the pygmy hippo!
